Water kefir. What is it? Cultures of various strains of healthy bacteria and yeast held together in a polysaccharide matrix created by the bacteria. Or more simply a fermented beverage teeming with beneficial bacteria. It is easy to prepare and often more palatable than other probiotic tonics like kombucha. Similar in flavor to a dry, slightly fizzy lemonade. With this purchse you will receive a third of a cup of healthy active water kefir grains which is enough to make one and a half litres and a comprehensive recipe sheet.
