Maple Walnut Bites

Updated: 23 hours ago

The perfect little unrefined sweet pick me up, these Maple Walnut bites are full of vitamins, minerals, protein and nutrients. No rolling into balls either just push it into the tin and leave to chill in the fridge.

A walnut half open on a wooden surface, revealing its ridged, golden-brown nut. Soft background with blurred metallic and wood elements.

MAPLE WALNUT BITES RECIPE

~New Recipe~

Gather your ingredients and measure the following into the food processor:

1/2 cup tahini or almond butter

1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter

1/2 cup pumpkin seeds

1 cup medjool dates

1 cup dried figs or apricots

2 tablespoon maple syrup

2 tablespoons LSA

Blitz this until it becomes a smooth mass, add:

1 tsp of water if it needs help

Line a 20 x 30cm slice tin & roughly chop:

100 g walnuts or sliced Brazil nuts

Spread them into the tin then push the mix evenly on top of them then sprinkle over:

1tablespoon desiccated coconut

I ran a one of the kids rolling pins over the top to flatten it out evenly, then put it into the fridge overnight to firm up (this could go into the freezer also). Tip out and slice into squares or bars, keep in the fridge in airtight container.

Child's hands reaching for coconut-topped maple walnut bite on a tray. The treats are sprinkled with white coconut. Cozy and playful mood.
